Staci Leech-Cornell is an artist and illustrator who has honed her trademark mixed-media style in her dynamic works that channel themes from her youth. She recalls nostalgically the rural wildlife and storybooks filled with anthropomorphic characters, the ceramic bird knickknacks and imagination that fueled her youthful curiosity. Her work often blends layered paper or cardboard with her illustrative linework in black ink or graphite that she then illuminates with watercolors and gouache.
